# Start here: independent junior producer pathway

This package teaches a creator-producer how to move a music-first screen concept from idea to a reviewable, rights-aware development package without depending on YouTube.

## Choose a track

| Music producer | One documented, credited, technically organized demo and delivery plan |
| Screen producer | A story/music map, preliminary budget, schedule, and clearance plan |
| Independent creator | An owned publishing, audience-portability, backup, and income-timing plan |
| Community producer | A safe, accessible workshop or apprenticeship outline with participant protections |

## Order of work

1. Read [Curriculum](CURRICULUM.md) and [Glossary](GLOSSARY.md).
2. Use the fictional [capstone exercise](exercises/fictional-capstone.md); do not begin with private or disputed material.
3. Complete the creative brief, contribution record, rights envelope, split sheet, delivery checklist, financial waterfall, and capital worksheet.
4. Follow [Accessibility](ACCESSIBILITY.md), [Youth safety](YOUTH-SAFETY-AND-ACCESS.md), and [Platform independence](docs/platform-independence.md).
5. Score the work with the [assessment rubric](ASSESSMENT-RUBRIC.md).
6. Stop at every legal, tax, safeguarding, rights, or consent gate and obtain qualified help.

## Minimum tools

A text editor, ledger, secure file storage, backup, headphones or speakers, and recording/editing tools. Brand-specific software is optional. A phone or tablet can be sufficient for documentation and planning.

## Completion boundary

Completion demonstrates process literacy. It is not a degree, professional license, rights clearance, distribution agreement, Netflix relationship, or guarantee of employment or income.
